HIGHLY Recommend this "Superb" Mechanic Shop - Silva Motor Group (Owned and Operated by Women)
As a woman who has often felt intimidated by the prospect of visiting a mechanic shop due to my limited knowledge of cars, I believe many others can relate to the daunting experience. Plus, women are an easy prey for mechanics to overcharge. You go to find out what's wrong with your car; especially, when the check engine light comes or some sensor light appears on the dashboard, etc. and told by the mechanic there's more than one thing wrong with your car. Really! Now, you're sweating, panicking and stressed out if you can afford the repair.
For over a decade, I frequented a SMOG shop in Antelope, despite my proximity to several other SMOG shops near my home. However, in 2023, I noticed an establishment had opened next door. Intrigued, I decided to engage with Chanel, the front office manager.
From the moment I stepped into the premises, I was struck by the cleanliness of the garage, which immediately set this shop apart from the rest. Witnessing the mechanic diligently working on a vehicle, I noticed an OLD CLASSIC ICE-CREAM TRUCK. WHAT!
This indicated to me that this wasn't an ordinary mechanic shop. The mechanic works on current model cars, fleets, motorcycles and my favorite - Classic Cars. Then she told me the shop is owned by a Woman and the mechanic is a Woman with over 25 years of experience. This was a GAME-CHANGER for me, because I wholeheartedly support women-owned businesses.
Several months later, when my check engine light illuminated, I sought assistance from AAA, only to receive an exorbitant quote. Fortunately, I remembered Chanel's professionalism and decided to reach out. Her estimate over the phone was significantly lower than AAA.
Upon picking up my car, both Fer and Chanel took the time to explain the issues in "lady language" aka layman's terms, ensuring I felt comfortable and informed throughout the process. Having never before encountered a woman mechanic, let alone had one work on my car, I can confidently say that this shop is the REAL DEAL.
I am elated to have discovered this Mechanic Shop and am eager to share my positive experience with my extensive network of realtors, builders, plumbers, HVAC technicians, family, and friends.
